Typography-focused mixed media Mental Health PSA poster.
I developed the moodboard after I decided to choose the second sketch. I went for the moody sea & rain-inspired aesthetic with paper and watercolour textures and a bold modern typeface.
Since it was a mixed-media poster, there are many elements that went into its development.
My main question in this phase was the execution of the color palette. Each option lacked something: the paper background on the first one didn't blend well with the other elements; the second poster was too dark, and the third was too light. I solved this question by combining elements from all posters.
I love how all the elements on this poster blended and worked with each other. The text frames the arms perfectly, and the arms both stand out and blend in. My favourite part was, however, the "sea of feelings" on the bottom part of the poster. I enjoyed combining physical shapes and textures and vector typography.
